FAQs
How do I book you?
Firstly please just drop me a message via the contact form to see if I’m available and we’ll take it from there!
When & Where does my trial take place?
Trials take place at my home in Lancing (BN15) or if requested can take place at yours. This will however be subject to mileage charged at 0.60p per mile. For journeys longer than 1 hour from my base location an additional fee of £25 will be added to your invoice.
Trials take place ideally 1-5 months prior to your wedding. In the event you require a weekend trial, then please note these are extremely limited during peak season (May-Sept & Dec) and so you may wish to consider having your trial on a weekday or earlier than suggested.
Do I have to have a trial?
I would 100% advice a big fat YES! Your trial is a chance for us to meet and get to know each other, & create your perfect wedding makeup that on your wedding day, you can then relax safe in the knowledge that you’ll look and feel picture perfect on the day. The exception to this rule is if you are outside of the UK and / or book me at the very last minute!
Do my Bridal party need a trial?
Not at all, but in my experience some Mother’s of Bride / Mothers of groom who maybe a bit nervous about having their make-up done do like to have them!
How long does the trial last?
Please allow 1.5 - 2.5 hours for your trial.
Can I have someone with me at my trial?
Yes of course! although I would ask that you limit this to 1-2 at the most. Having several differing opinions & views isn’t always helpful and can sway you from what you like or want.
Do I need to prepare anything ahead of the trial?
It’s always a good idea to gather some ideas of Makeup & Hair styles that you Do & DON’T like! A person’s idea of natural look or a smoky eye can differ hugely, so having a Pinterest board or saved Instagram pictures (preferably of my work!) etc that you can send to me in advance of your trial are always helpful.
Please don’t worry if you don’t have time or a clue what you want or like! That’s what the trial is for and it’s my job to help you decide and to talk through your preferences and options and we will work together to come up with something perfect for you!
Anything else?
I will send you an email a couple of weeks before your trial with some helpful suggestions in advance of your trial day
What if I need to cancel / postpone my trial?
I would ask that you please try not too as my trial dates / availability is quite limited and any movement of dates once confirmed may incur an admin fee. I do however understand that sometimes life causes havoc and circumstances maybe beyond your control. A cancellation for the second time will result in full payment for your trial before a further trial date can be booked in.
What are you payment terms?
Trial appointments are payable 72 hours prior to your preview taking place and trials appointments can only be made once your booking fee has been paid. Wedding day invoices are to be paid in full 1 calender month prior to your wedding day. Please refer to my T&C’s for more details on my invoicing. https://www.belledenbury.co.uk/terms-conditions
